I just checked out the list of Spring 2013 anime the other day, and sweet bishies I haven’t been this excited about the seasonal anime lineup in a long time! =D A lot of good series are coming out, sequels to some of my favorite anime, and a lot of my favorite seiyuu have some good roles too!
There’s so much I plan on watching, and so much I plan on giving a try. Click each title to go to its MAL page, as I’m not really going to summarize them:
RDG: Red Data Girl
Why I’m going to give this a shot: Shamelessly, first and foremost because Jun Fukuyama does one of the voices in it. >.< I’ve become a bit of a fan of his recently… Secondly, it looks pleasant and slice-of-life—ish, with an interesting-sounding touch of fantasy and mystique. x3 I think I might like it.
Karneval
Why I’m going to give this a shot: Bishies and Miyano Mamoru? Why shouldn’t give this a shot? XD On a more serious note, I’d heard of the shoujo manga it’s based on, multiple times in the past, and it appears to be a real gem. =] God knows I love my shoujo manga, too, and it’s not often that great shoujo manga series get nice anime adaptations. I mean look at these beautiful colors and bishies here! Nice animation! x3
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru.
Why I’m giving this a shot:It looks disastrously like an ecchi, harem series, but I like the description of it. An antisocial misfit boy forced to join a club, and meets, according to ANN’s Spring 2013 anime sheet, other ‘problematic students’? Sounds like the Breakfast Club. XD Lmao, I kid, I kid~ It doesn’t have any mentions of being ecchi, and there may be a lot of girls in that picture, yikes, but the idea of a bunch of kids with antisocial and other problems and negativity all in the same club together sounds like a laugh-fest. I’ll give this a try. If it turns out to be fanservice-y, then I’ll probably forget about it.
Devil Survivor 2 The Animation

Why I’m giving this a shot: It looks pretty awesome. Lol, I judge so many anime based on their animation style….sometimes… >.>;; Anyway, it also sounds really cool in a weird deal-with-devil-to-save-Japan sort of way. It’s also based off of a video game, reminding me of Persona 4, which, from the episodes I’d seen, turned out to be a pretty promising anime adaptation of a video game. So it’s possible this could be as epic as it looks, lmao. Oh! And my favorite voice actress, Miyuki Sawashiro, has a role in this one. x3 Gotta watch at least one episode, of course.

Why I’m giving it a shot:I’m not one for mecha, scifi anime…most of the time. But I have enjoyed my fair share of scifi and space series in the past, and when I saw the 40-second preview video for this anime… I dunno, all those space/mecha-anime elements, combined with a crew of interesting characters, it got me really excited for this series~ Maybe it’s also the fact that after Firefly, I enjoy any good show about a ship with a group of interesting characters? xP These characters seem pretty cool, even though I know absolutely nothing about them, lol. So I’m watching because it looks incredibly exciting, and the characters look interesting, and yeah. xD Also, they’re all strangely bishie, girls and guys. o_O Huh. Oh, and for almost the entire 40 seconds of the clip, the main dude was hauling the main girl around over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes…like, everywhere. It was amusing. Gotta find out what that’s about.
Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 2000%

Why am I going to watch this:That is the craziest thing I ever should have to explain. I have been waiting almost two years for more of UtaPuri. I thought by now we’d have some of the otome games in the original otome game series UtaPuri released in America by this point, like Hakuouki… But finally, the second season with the smexy outfits and the… >.< My inner fangirl is about to explode, gimme a minute… *gasp* Okay. So, I’m watching this because this is one of…only two, I guess, anime based on otome games (the other being Hakuouki), and there’s so much appeal in that there’s more than like, just one bishie I fangirl over in this series, and there’s singing, and…. ah. It reminds me of La Corda a bit, for some reason. Slightly less awesome, more awesome in a different way.
Ah gahhhhh~ I can’t wait. Ittoki, Syo, Hijirikawa… And the seiyuu…! Miyuki Sawashiro is surprisingly the creepy-eyed heroine (seriously her eyes are like mini rainbows o_O)!! =O Miyano Mamoru plays Tokiya, obviously…. Kenichi Suzumura! Hariri from Tokimeki, Hikaru from Ouran, Kairi from Peach Girl…one of my newest fave seiyuu plays Hijirikawa~ Gwah and on and on. I could fangirl all day long.
Kara the Animation

Why I’m giving this a shot:While its storylines sound a bit childish and the characters are all pretty super-human female members of society like in Saturday morning cartoons… I love a lot of the elements about the idea of this series. For one thing, it’s voiced by a group of K-Pop singers. Yes, that’s right - it’s in Korean. Apparently with Japanese subtitles. This not only interests the part of me that really enjoyed Sphere’s “Natsuiro Kiseki”, but the part of me that hopes and prays that Korean anime will really become a thing someday, so all the great manhwa I’ve read - especially Chocolat - can perhaps become animated~<3 I’m really intrigued and interested to see how this will pan out. MAL doesn’t have a page for it - probably because it’s Korean =__=; They never have pages for anything even slightly American, either - but look it up! It sounds pretty okay.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku

Why I’m going to watch this: Because I’m a Higurashi fan, derp… And nothing new that’s Higurashi gets past me, not even the OVA’s and little one-shots. Plus, this really sounds promising. Its description sounds as though it takes place way after the Great Hinamizawa Disaster, and… if it does, then it seems Reina isn’t the lone survivor of the group of friends. Keiichi and Reina are both apparently dealing with some outbreak or aftermath or something after the Disaster in ‘83. I’m really anticipating this anime, and I know it’ll be good. What time it’ll be set in…what the characters are like now…what in fact happened and is happening, now… It’s going to be so great! =D I just hope it isn’t going to be shorter than at lest 12 episodes. >.< Must look into that. MAL doesn’t say how many there’ll be…
OMG. The second season of UtaPuri will finally be airing this spring.

Dear god. I am fangirling so hard I don’t know what to do with myself. xP
…It’s about damn time, though. The first season came out almost 2 years ago, huh?
I missed Ittoki and Hijirikawa and Syo so badly. Dx xP >w<

Enjoy~ Made by me. x3
UtaPri Debut Unit CD & Drama by Ai-senpai, Natsuki-chan and Syo-chan
=O >O< Unit?! B-but….
….Still looks cool, though…
I…have too much free time on my hands. xD Yes, I made this. And I made 2 others, using DBSK songs. Ahhhhh…..being a life-less fangirl. xD
Fun though. =D And it’s scary how well the songs sync to the dancing and motions. The lip flaps not really, but yeah…
