Lol, well, really… I can’t quite pick. Dx I have my favorites and there’s definitely ones I really could just glomp to death…

Yamazaki from Hakuouki, Shizuo from Durarara, Luck from Baccano and Hei from Darker Than Black.

Plenty more, but…yeah. Glomping.

Anyway, to be more fair somehow, I’ll say that my first anime crush was Haku from Spirited Away. I was like, 8 or 9 when I first saw that movie. Back then I didn’t know of bishounen, lmao, so just Haku.

Now I’m such a horrible fangirl with too many favorite bishies. >xP

BACCANO!

^ [in the style of Janis Ian] The greatest people you will ever meet. Lol jk jk but seriously, the greatest Isaac and Miria cosplayers I’ve seen. I’ve already blathered boatloads about them in my Youmacon Overview and Friday Recap posts, I’d feel weird if I did it again here. Just… they were awesome and entertaining. =D 

^ So glad to see a cosplay of Nice Holystone! =D Found this gem of a cosplayer - seriously, I was so saddened by the lack of Baccano! cosplay and merchandise and all that, that anytime I stumbled upon something Baccano! I was like OMG YES FOUND SOMETHING! xP - in the game room. I was in there to kill time, and thought that a DDR competition sounded interesting to watch. It wasn’t. [dead-serious bored face] But… I noticed a girl with blond hair, a sleeveless red top, and black pants.

And seriously. I must know Baccano! a bit too well because my first thoughts were…. Nice?! So I mosey my way on around the crowds, near the front of the DDR scene, and yep. She had an eyepatch. My hunch was confirmed. =D I asked her for a photo and voila! We have one very awesome person [seriously, I was so bummed, I wanted to see so many Baccano! cosplayers than there actually were] and one very awesome Nice cosplay. I mean come on. I recognized her just by blond hair, red shirt, and black pants. That could be the most vague description of a person I’d ever hear, if I weren’t a Baccano! fangirl. xP

^ Firo! =D The first Baccano! cosplayer I saw this weekend; also another in-the-registration-line photo I snapped. x] Awesome cosplay. Slick and cool in the fedora and suit, just like Firo would be. Another spot-on cosplay that could be easily missed by non-fans or people who don’t know the series that well, but so right-on-the-mark for fans to be able to recognize and for the cosplayer to be stopped for pix.

This cosplayer also happened to be apart of the “A Killer Night With the Dollars & Immortals” panel, and in fact, they were the Firo who killed Maiza at the Daily Days with…. something. =[ I forgot already. But yeah. xP Egads, Firo, killing Maiza…. xP Lol. Anyway, it was so great to be able to have at least one Firo cosplayer, that that wasn’t too much to ask for… and that the Firo cosplay was pretty darned good, at that! =D

I also saw a Vino, who was apart of the Baccano!/Durarara panel, but I wasn’t able to get a pic. I had the opportunity during the panel and probably afterward but the panel was just too much fun to take my attention away from the goings-on and take any pictures. x]

I wish there were more Baccano! cosplayers though. I mean I’m really excited to have seen these guys but I was expecting a Maiza. Seriously I had a huge feeling that I’d spot a Maiza. And I think a Gandor brothers trio would be flippin’ sweet to see stalking the crowds x] Also a very cute and scaredy-cat Jacuzzi. And Ladd Russo! And Chane! Screw it, the whole entire cast of characters. xDD I ask for too much.

DURARARA

^ One of the many Celty’s I saw at Youmacon this year, but by far my favorite, I think. Everything about the cosplay is just fantastic. The leather is tailored tight enough like Celty’s, the helmet is shiny and almost exactly like the one Celty’s dons, and the scythe is pretty great as well, I can’t imagine how one would make that… Pretty cool! She was also in the registration line not too far behind me, and at one point she was just chilling with her arms propped up casually on the rail/wall-y thing behind her. For some reason that struck me as really cool, like a cool-ly-bored-looking Celty would look. I honestly don’t know why all these random things about cosplayers made me think “omg awesome!” compared to the rest of their cosplays; I guess I’m just big on the little things? Which don’t really make sense when I try to explain them. >.< It just looked cool when she was lookin’ all bored. Bored Celty. >.< Forget it.

^ Awww. I saw another Celty AND a Shinra, passing by the registration line, and I asked them if I could get a picture, and they just posed like this. <3 So adorable! =3 CeltyxShinra. This was probably the cutest couple-character cosplay picture I took. I was not expecting the heart pose, let me tell ya, but it was so cute that I actually “awwwwwwww” ‘d when I took the photo. xD Bravo to you guys for not only looking the part and looking amazing, but for having the bonus cute factor in your poses going for you as far as CeltyxShinra goes. =D

^ One of HUNDREDS (I’m sure!) Shizuo Heiwajima’s I saw at Youmacon. There were so many that after a certain point it’s like… can’t. Decide. Which. Is. Awesomest. >.< Seriously it got hard to decide: photo, or save on battery? There were so many good ones. There was even one Shizuo whose prop sign - most of them had prop signs, this Shizuo had his prop cig - was in Japanese kanji! =D And his whole cosplay was rather cool too, even the sunglasses looked great. And then there was a cool-looking Shizuo whose sign said “Dance With Me” or something like that, y’know, like Free Hugs, and I saw him dancing with someone. =D It was so cool. But alas: so many Shizuo’s, so little time and battery power and memory card space on one’s stupid camera. =/ I didn’t even take any pix of Izaya lol. >.> Not a huge fan exactly, more a huge fan of Izaya whenever he’s around Shizuo. My point is that I like Shizuo. xD There were so many Shizuo’s and Izaya’s hanging around but I never got a chance to get a pic. =[

Anyway. So this guy was cool. Had the Shizuo demeanor down, I’m telling ya. Didn’t even need a menacing pose with a traffic sign, he was quiet enough and had a no-nonsense demeanor about him. I was almost a bit intimidated to take the pic. xP Nah not really but I was so feeling the Shizu-chan-ness here. xP Lovin’ it. One of the better Shizu-chan’s I saw at Youmacon. There were so many good ones, and so many great ones, and so many excellent ones, and this cosplayer falls somewhere in between in the mix. ^.^
